Upgraded cylinder and piston to the 49 cm,engine parts fit great,runs beautifully,only down side was the original cylinder bolts and coil ground bolt threads were not the same as the old cylinder. Had to find all 4 engine bolts with the new/different thread pitch. The case is quality,2 downsides with it, have to drill the return hose hole and transfer grommet over and the top air filter cover(original) fits but doesn’t line up 100%. Other than those minor issues, definitely recommend these parts!
MS390 Stihl cylinder replacement seems to be a good substitute to for the genuine Stihl parts. The saw runs great with the Duke's parts in it. Ran a couple tanks of fuel through it, no problems.

I’ve only ran about 5 tanks of fuel since the rebuild but all seems well so far, good compression plenty of power brought a non running 039 back to life paired with a dukes 24” bar and chain I’m very pleased!
